#HackTheBase

The IoT Hub that makes a difference and opens a whole new series of IoT events that will create
an area to collaborate for technology developers, industry representatives, and investors interested in IoT opportunities.

Let's join the IoT Hub!

IoT Hackathon

The HackTheBase IoT hackathon is the event where developers meet with the industry representatives and collaborate on the challenges.

We want to do the things differently and not to be just another hackathon usually organized in "closed-loop" way, where participants get some IoT kits as input and the award as the output and nothing else is happening after hackathon.

The hackathon is turned into an area with ongoing collaboration within IoT Hub and make a marketplace where participants can continue on projects and challenges and move them into real business opportunities.

Let's join the hackathon!

Challenges

The challenge represents the topic opened by IoT Hub member who wants to find a solution for the area of his interest. It can be award by a price and continue in further cooperation with the member. More members can open a challenge together and work on it.

Infrastructure

In our ongoing effort to support the hackathon participants in their projects and challenges we are giving them an access to the IoT infrastructure providing mainly three subsystems such as data transfer for wireless communication technologies (LoRaWAN/LTE-M), management systems, hardware and software systems for collecting and storing data from connected systems, data processing for analyzing and visualizing the collected data.

Collaboration

The hackathon can attend individuals who would like to join or create teams such as startup founders. Opportunity for teams to find new colleagues. All participants are welcome to work on their ideas that can lead to business opportunities or can accept the challenge opened by the IoT Hub member.

IoT Hackathon Challenges

Examples of the challenges opened by IoT Hub members.

Smart Forest

The wild summer brings dry drought into the forest as we have seen across North America and Europe in last years. Summertime fires have caused billions of dollars of property damage. The Smart Forest aims to detect the fires within the forest and sends early warnings.

Smart Farming Challenge

Smart Farming

Improving farm productivity is essential for increasing farm profitability and meeting the rapidly growing demand for food that is fuelled by rapid population growth across the world. Farm productivity can be increased by understanding and forecasting crop performance in a variety of environmental conditions. Smart Farming aims to support scalable data analytics that can continuously process large crop performance data.

Smart City

Through the sensors connected to the low-power wireless network, it is possible to obtain data with an overview of the situation in the city and the village in real time. Thanks to the information you can save costs and improve the quality of municipal services. Fields of use include parking, traffic, lighting, sewerage, environmental monitoring (noise, air, temperature, etc.), property protection, building statics, or early warning systems.

ParkSmart Challenge

ParkSmart

Searching for car parking takes several minutes daily and it means a dozens hours per year. When you are looking for the free slot, the car wastes fuel, and it has the impact on air quality in the area. ParkSmart aims to be a seamless parking experience for indoor and outdoor parking lots providing real-time monitoring, spot reservation, and analytics for parking lot usage.
